Water garden maintenance

Yes, water gardens need maintaining, just like all other areas of the garden.

Depending on the complexity of the original construction, elements such as watercourses, ponds, bridges and filtration systems (if installed) will require regular upkeep if the water garden is not to deteriorate into an unrecognisable mess.

Obviously, plantings both in and around the water garden also require attention.
