Bog Gardens

The habitat offered by a bog garden or a boggy area (wetland) at the rim of a pond, lake or stream (whether natural or lined) provides a fantastic opportunity to add to the variety and interest of the flora (and fauna) in the garden. Are any further reasons necessary to encourage one to design and build a beautiful bog garden? We think not! Having made the bog garden, the best bit is, of course, its planting. The creation of a stand-alone bog garden, if sited sympathetically, makes an unusual and fascinating feature so even if there is no pond, stream or lake around which to place a bog garden there can still be the wonderful treat presented by a stunning choice of bog plants. We are big fans of bogs!
