We repair and restore water gardens in Surrey, West Sussex and Hampshire
"We were clearing the grounds and we found....". Almost every year someone contacts us with a tale of jungle clearance and decayed water garden exposure. Occasionally the find is worth preserving in its original form (remade with modern lining materials to remove the problem leaking concrete that, almost invariably, was used in the construction). More often than not however, the surrounding gardens have changed over the years so that a restoration project is not appropriate. A redesign is indicated, possibly making use of the best of the original materials and some of the original plantings that may have survived. See an overview of our repair and restoration services for more information.
Most water garden repair work revolves around water loss due to leaks from pipe-work and the original lining material. Decayed rims, pathways, dead pumps and crumbling statuary also feature.
